Visitation FertilityCare offers instruction on the Creighton Model FertilityCare System™ and NaProTechnology, a women’s health science that works cooperatively with a woman’s natural cycles. Creighton Model FertilityCare Practitioners teach women and couples how to identify signs of fertility and infertility throughout the menstrual cycle, and how to apply this information in order to achieve the couple’s family planning goals.
Additionally, our Practitioners collaborate closely with Wisconsin physicians who are professionally trained in using the information provided by Creighton charting to diagnose and treat a variety of hormonal and gynecological conditions that can occur throughout her reproductive life, regardless of whether she has just started cycling or is approaching menopause.
Our FertilityCare Practitioners currently teach group Introductory Sessions virtually and in person throughout the Milwaukee metro area. One-on-one follow up sessions tailor the Creighton Model FertilityCare System™ to the individual woman or couple’s needs and are conducted in person or via video conferencing.
The Creighton Model FertilityCare System™ is a standardized method for observing and documenting biological changes that are essential to the understanding of a woman's health and fertility. By working closely with a trained Creighton Model FertilityCare practitioner and tracking specific changes in the woman’s body, women and couples can learn when they are naturally fertile or infertile. The Creighton Model FertilityCare System™ (or “Creighton Method” for short) may be used to achieve pregnancy, avoid or space pregnancies, or simply to monitor gynecologic health - making the method distinctly different from any form of artificial contraception. Moreover, Creighton Model FertilityCare Practitioners are trained to identify signs and symptoms that may suggest hormonal or gynecologic abnormalities, and work closely with NaProTechnology-trained physicians who can diagnose and treat most reproductive conditions.
What is NaProTechnology?
NaProTechnology (or “NaPro” for short) refers to Natural Procreative Technology, which is an alternative women’s health science for monitoring and maintaining reproductive health and correcting gynecologic abnormalities. NaPro provides medical and surgical treatments that cooperate with the reproductive system in order to correct the underlying causes of problems like irregular uterine bleeding, unbearable menstrual cramps, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, fibroids, hormone dysfunctions (such as pre-menstrual syndrome and post-partum depression), recurrent miscarriage, and infertility. Medical NaPro refers to the use of prescription medications and supplements that assist in restoring the reproductive system to a healthy state, while surgical NaPro refers to a specialized form of gynecologic surgery that aims to repair the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries if they are not functioning normally.
